Billed as the world's first dual-core smart phone, the LG Optimums 2X raises the stakes for high-end Android devices and gives LG's profile a much needed boost in this market.

Sporting a large 4" 800 x 480 pixel display, an 8 mega pixel primary camera plus a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera and all the usual goodies that you would expect from a top-of-the-line Android phone, the real interest lies under the hood with the 1GHz Tegra 2 processor.

Google's Nexus S finds Google Maps 5.0 – A 3D Mapping Application

Google's Nexus S, which is a set to launch in this month of December, will come ready with Google Maps 5.0, a mapping application that helps users in finding directions.

Google Maps 5.0 is a much advanced version in the Google Maps lineup. Google Maps 5.0 now allows users to analysis buildings and landscape in 3D, which offers rich screening experience and lets users better understand the directions. Besides, users can be also check for traffic reports.

With just days left for the Nexus S’ launch, much conjectures are going around the Smart phone features. The phone, which was officially launched on the month of December 6, 2010, will hit market for sales starting this December 16th in the United States, while in the United Kingdom; the Mobile phone will be launched on the month of December 20th.

“Nexus S delivers what we call a 'pure Google' experience: unlocked, unfiltered access to the best Google mobile services and the latest and greatest Android liberates and updates,” Google vice president of engineering Andy Rubin said in a statement.

Nokia X2-01 Mobiles

The Nokia X2-01 is a low-cost messaging phone intended to hit the shops before Christmas. If only just. At an estimated price of €80 before a tax and carrier financial support.
If you get over the fact that the Nokia X2-01 is a slightly strange-looking device, it soon becomes apparent that this is really a cut-down version of the Nokia C3-00, dropping the WiFi support from the C3 and reduction the camera to a very basic 0.3 megapixel one.

However, you do still get a QWERTY keyboard 2.4" 320 x 240 pixel display, Blue tooth, a microSD slot, a media player and an FM radio plus a 3.5mm audio connector.
You can use the QWERTY keyboard with the X2-01's built-in messaging and email applications, even though you probably want to guide clear of web browsing on a device with no 3G or WiFi support.

It is a pretty firmly focused device - if you are only interested in messaging then this phone strength well be for you, but the lack of high speed data and the ultra-basic camera means that it will probably have a limited marketplace appeal, although it does look to have some promise as a music player too.

Nokia say that the X2-01 will be available in red, deep grey, silver, lilac and azure colors. In our opinion the lighter colors look much better, buy in any case Nokia have been managed to make it a bit different to look at compared to other similar devices.
Scheduled availability is Q4, but if you are after a contemptible Nokia messaging phone for Christmas then frankly you could always go for the existing Nokia C3 in its place which does have the added advantage of WiFi.

Samsung Range(Verizon) Android smartphone reviews

The Samsung Mobiles range is the latest member of Samsung's Galaxy S Smartphone family. It is similar to the rest of the popular Galaxy S devices that initiated in the United States in that it offers a Super AMOLED display, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording functionality, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, and Android 2.1 with Touch Wiz 3.0. However, the range offers a smaller 3.4-inch display and a secondary 1.8-inch Super AMOLED "ticker" display that provides up news, alerts, and more, making the range one of the more unique devices we have seen in a while.

Despite being unique, the range has a few downfalls. Primarily, I think the Fascinate is a better phone because it is feels faster and has a larger display. However, there is nothing naturally wrong with the range, and I think there are plenty of people out there that will prefer its more compact size without too much other hardware forgo.

Sony Ericsson to launch a new Xperia models at MWC on February 13th

Sony Ericsson mobiles is bantering online an invitation for one and all to attend the MWC in Barcelona on February 13th. On that day, the joint venture will be introducing "new members of the Xperia relations." What is getting everyone so hot and bothered is that the Sony Ericsson PlayStation phone that every gamer is drooling over strength have a new name besides the Zeus. The joint venture has been register with the EU for trademark registration for the Xperia Play name and that surely would be a fine moniker for the PlayStation phone. And it would also qualify the device as being a new member of the Xperia relations. All of which means that the Sony Ericsson PlayStation phone/Zeus could see the administrator light of day on Febraury 13th.

Sharp-eyed readers will note that Sony Ericsson's teaser mentions "members" of the Xperia relations, which means more than one earpiece will be introduced in Barcelona. To that end, the joint venture has registered the names Xperia Arc, Xperia Duo, and Xperia Neo mobile phones. So it may be more than just gamers looking forward to February 13th.
